  1. Brief Introduction
    This App is a collaboration between the Department of Learning and Media Design of Taipei City University and the Taiwan Power Company's "Electric Fantasy No. 1". It combines learning with story games, allowing learners to understand the knowledge of renewable energy in various parts of Taiwan in fun interactions, and enhance their attention and understanding of energy issues.
    2. Development Background and Concept
    Under the global trend of sustainable development and energy transformation, improving the energy literacy of all people has become an important goal. This App is based on "promotion of renewable energy knowledge" and is themed for four common renewable energy sources, including wind power, hydropower, solar power and geothermal energy. Through the design of "game-based learning", the more difficult energy principles are transformed into concrete and easy-to-understand interactive content.
    This project was conceived, designed and implemented by the Department of Learning and Media Design of Taipei City University, and worked with the energy education field "Electric Fantasy No. 1" to combine knowledge content with real fields and strengthen the connection between learning and life.
    3. Design Content Overview
    The background of the App is set on an island where the power suddenly went out. The protagonist "Xiao Zi" sets out to find energy in order to restore power. Xiaozi went to four regions to find energy solutions and met four animal partners:
    Wind power generation_Brother Eagle
    Lead learners to understand the principles of wind power generation, the differences between horizontal and vertical axis wind turbines, and the practical application of wind power generation in Taiwan.
    Hydropower generation_Xibo
    The frog character introduced the operating mechanism of hydropower generation and led learners to explore the energy application of reservoirs and rivers.
    Solar power generation_Monkey
    The monkey character introduced the structure and power generation process of solar panels, corresponding to the Tainan salt fields and other areas with sufficient sunshine.
    Geothermal power generation_Moer
    The mole partner shared the generation and conversion process of geothermal energy, connecting the geographical characteristics of the Hualien-Taitung Valley.
    Each region includes story introduction, basic knowledge and interactive levels. Learners can gradually accumulate energy knowledge and application understanding during the interactive process.
    IV. User feedback and future prospects
    The actual test feedback shows that learners perform well in learning wind and hydropower knowledge, indicating that game-based learning and situational design are effective. However, the ratio of level stories to game content needs to be adjusted and balanced. Future versions will optimize the presentation of such content, such as reducing story content and increasing the difficulty of game levels.
    In addition, this App has the learning potential of multimedia development. In the future, it can be extended to design real-world interactive versions, AR field connection versions, etc., to make renewable energy education more extensible and immersive.
    V. Conclusion
    This project integrates design, education and energy knowledge to present a set of narrative, interactive and educational applications. In the future, we also look forward to continuing to cooperate with physical fields to promote the deepening and popularization of energy literacy and sustainable development education.
