US Coast Guard mobile Incident Management Handbook

Overview

Features & Capabilities

USCG Mobile IMH brings the Coast Guard Incident Management Handbook to your phone or tablet — the full doctrine, the ICS-CG forms, the Planning P, and the role-based job aides your team uses every day, all in one place and fully offline.

Built for incident commanders, section chiefs, command staff, unit leaders, and partner-agency responders. Whether you're walking into a Tactics Meeting, building the next operational period, or working a Search and Rescue case from a cutter with no signal, the doctrine and the paperwork stay at your fingertips.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• The full CG-IMH (COMDTPUB 3120, 2025 revision). 392 pages of doctrine — open any chapter, add bookmarks, and keep per-chapter notes that persist across sessions. Jump straight from a chapter to the forms it references.

• 30 ICS-CG forms — ICS-201 through ICS-235 and the IAP Cover Sheet. Fill every field in a native editor, preview your entries rendered into the official government AcroForm PDF, capture a signature right on the screen, then send by email or any app you have installed, or print. Form data is held in memory only and clears automatically the moment you send, close, or navigate away.

• Interactive Planning P. Tap any phase of the operational period planning cycle — Initial UC Meeting, IC/UC Objectives, Command & General Staff, Tactics Meeting, IAP Prep, Operations Briefing, Execute & Assess — and jump straight to the agenda, required attendees, inputs, outputs, duration, and form references.

• Role-based Job Aides. 20 bundled job aides — IC, OSC, PSC, LOFR, PIO, SOFR, RESL, SITL, DMOB, DOCL, COML, DIVS, ENVL, FSC, LSC, MTSL, Chaplain, CISM, Comms/Info Mgt, and Area Command — each opened as a full offline PDF.

• Interactive ICS Org Chart from the standard NIMS hierarchy through the Air Operations Branch and every unit. Expand or collapse any branch and tap a position to read its responsibilities in the IMH.

• Ask the Handbook. Type a free-form question and the app composes a structured doctrine answer — summary, agenda, attendees, inputs, outputs, forms, next steps, and a link back into the handbook — entirely from the bundled content. A full-text search runs across all 392 pages to surface related passages. Nothing about your question ever leaves the device.

• Tactical utilities. A unit converter for pollution response volumes and route planning (length, mass, volume, speed, temperature — all conversions taken from the CG-IMH equivalents table). A meeting scheduler that exports recurring briefings, with attendees and agenda, straight to your device's native Calendar.

PRIVACY AND OFFLINE FIRST

• 100% offline. No network calls from the forms, search, or Ask paths. Drop into airplane mode at a remote location and the app works exactly the same.

• No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking SDKs. Nothing about your use of the app is logged or transmitted.

• Incident form data is held in memory only and cleared automatically when you send a form, close it, or navigate away — no PII left on the device after the response is over.

• Every answer in Ask is composed on your device from the bundled handbook. Your questions never leave the device.
