The app is a waste, it doesn't work, also why does it want access to my photos and files??

It worked at first then gradually stopped, we are told to download the app for notifications but it doesn't work to the extent we need it to, now when I try to open the app it just goes to white and stays like that, fix the bug, I will be deleting untill so
