Information on Smoking Cessation App - GempaQ®
GempaQ® app was designed by a group of researchers of Nicotine Addiction Research Centre (NARCC) from University of Malaya, Malaysia. This smoking cessation app specifically tailored to suit the needs of the smokers based on Big Five personality Traits such as extroversion (E), Agreeableness (A), Conscientiousness ( C ), Neuroticism (N), and Openness to Experience (O) and smokers preferences from research analysis. This project was funded by Institute of Research Management & Monitoring (IPPP), University of Malaya
under Grand Challenge GC004B (The project of mHealth for Smoking Cessation).
The functions of GempaQ® are as follows:
1. Calculate & Tracking : how much money you can save once you stop smoking, track your nearest smoking cessation clinic and cigarettes intake per week
2. Mindfulness Video: Learn how to curb your smoking addiction through mindfulness technique
3. Information & Tips: Tips and information about prescription and non-prescription medication for smokers and the benefits when you quit smoking
4. Social Support: Share your quit smoking progress with your friends through WhatsApp and Motivational message as a reminder
5. Goal Setting: Write your own goal to quit smoking share it to your social media account such as Facebook
6. Activity and Rewards Engagement: Super quit function as a smoking diary and Be the top 10 warrior who are successfully have a long resisted time compared than smoked time

Maklumat mengenai Aplikasi Berhenti Merokok - GempaQ®
Aplikasi berhenti merokok, GempaQ® dibangunkan oleh sekumpulan penyelidik Pusat Penyelidikan Ketagihan Nikotin (NARCC) dari Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Aplikasi berhenti merokok ini disesuaikan khusus untuk memenuhi keperluan perokok berdasarkan ciri-ciri keperibadian Big Five seperti extroversion (E), Agreeableness (A), Conscientiousness ( C ),
Neuroticism (N), and Openness to Experience (O) dan pilihan perokok dari analisis penyelidikan. Projek ini dibiayai oleh Institut Pengurusan & Pemantauan Penyelidikan (IPPP), Universiti Malaya di bawah Grand Challenge GC004B (Projek mHealth for Smoking Cessation).
Fungsi GempaQ® adalah seperti berikut:
1. Kira & Jejaki: berapa banyak wang yang dapat anda simpan sebaik sahaja berhenti merokok, menjejaki klinik berhenti merokok berdekatan dan pengambilan rokok setiap minggu
2. Video Kesedaran: Pelajari cara mengekang ketagihan merokok anda melalui teknik kesedaran
3. Maklumat & Tips: Maklumat dan Tips mengenai ubat preskripsi dan bukan preskripsi untuk perokok dan faedahnya apabila anda berhenti merokok
4. Sokongan Sosial: Kongsi kemajuan berhenti merokok dengan rakan anda melalui WhatsApp, dan Mesej motivasi sebagai peringatan
5. Penetapan Matlamat: Tuliskan matlamat anda sendiri untuk berhenti merokok dan kongsikannya ke akaun media sosial anda seperti Facebook
6. Keterlibatan Aktiviti dan Ganjaran: “Super Quit Function” sebagai buku harian merokok dan Jadilah 10 pejuang teratas yang berjaya mempunyai waktu tidak merokok lebih lama berbanding dengan waktu merokok
