Time roaming catches, avoid snakes, clear 30 barn-gallery levels.
Catching Mice turns a rebuilt barn gallery into a quick game of observation, timing, and restraint. A 5×6 field of burrows fills the floor. Mice first peek from safety, then leave their holes and roam between the rows. A mouse counts only while it is outside and moving, so tapping a face that is still tucked in a burrow does nothing. Watch the transition, follow the runner, and commit at the right moment.
The campaign contains 30 timed levels arranged on a level map. Each stage combines its own target mix instead of asking for one repeated score. You may need gray mice, baby mice, fast runners, cheese mice, or kings; later objectives also ask for total catches, coin earnings, a sustained streak, or a strict miss allowance. Meeting every active target ends the level immediately, and time left on the clock contributes extra coins.
The barn is busy with more than mice. Snakes can slither across a row, and striking one can cost a miss unless a shield is ready. Rabbits, frogs, chicks, and hedgehogs also wander out as decoys. They are not targets: hitting one removes points and breaks the current streak. The result rewards recognition as much as speed, especially when several creatures cross the gallery together.
Every successful catch adds points and coins. Consecutive catches inside the streak window raise the score multiplier through several tiers, while an escape resets the chain and increases the miss count. Campaign rounds end when the timer expires, the mixed objectives are completed, or the five-miss limit is reached. This makes a clean, deliberate run more valuable than tapping every movement on the floor.
Endless mode removes the campaign timer and continues until you choose to leave. Its difficulty rises as the run lasts, bringing quicker spawns and more hazards into the 5×6 gallery. The summary records score, total mice caught, elapsed time, and coins earned. It is a focused place to practice target recognition, extend streaks, and set a personal record without changing campaign progress.
Coins feed a collection and shop loop built around clear gameplay effects. The net widens the catch radius. The clamp slows runners on the floor. A snake shield absorbs one dangerous strike, an automatic trap catches one eligible roaming mouse, and a lantern reveals active burrows at the beginning of a level. Tools can be owned and equipped, while consumables are stocked for later rounds.
The level map keeps unlocked stages easy to revisit. A collection page records catches by mouse type, and the leaderboard separates Endless results from individual campaign levels. Local records, unlocked levels, coins, owned gear, inventory, and collection totals are saved on the device. Signed-in players can also view synchronized online scores when a connection and account are available.
The current interface uses rebuilt barn-gallery artwork across the splash scene, home hotspots, winding level map, play field, collection shelves, shop, help, results, and leaderboard. The canvas responds to the full available viewport in portrait or landscape, from compact phones to tablets and desktop windows, so the burrow grid and controls are recalculated rather than placed inside a fixed frame.
Catching Mice supports English, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Hindi, and French from its in-game language control. Labels, objectives, help, map details, shop effects, and result summaries follow the selected language. Crisp impact sounds mark catches and mistakes, while a light barn-chase music loop begins after the opening interaction.
A round is easy to understand but leaves room for better decisions: wait until the mouse clears its hole, distinguish its type, check the objective panel, avoid snakes and harmless visitors, then protect the streak. Campaign goals, Endless pressure, persistent gear, collection tracking, and separate leaderboards give each return to the barn a concrete purpose.
