ADI Prep Ireland: Stages 1-3

ADI Prep Ireland is independent preparation for Ireland's Approved Driving Instructor qualification: Stage 1 practice and full 100-question Stage 1-structure mocks, plus Stage 2 and Stage 3 guidance.

Not a government app

ADI Prep Ireland is an independent study application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Road Safety Authority or Prometric. Practice questions are independently authored and are not official assessment questions.

This app does not represent the RSA, the Department of Transport or any other government entity. It is made by TritonApps, an independent developer. Register with the RSA and book Stage 1 only at theorytest.ie.

Over 1,250 reviewed practice questions

Independently authored questions across the five Stage 1 subject areas: Driver Testing Procedures and Documentation, Road Safety Precepts and Practices, Pedagogy (Teaching Ability), Basic Mechanics and Maintenance, and Category B. Every question carries a written explanation and a source reference.

Mocks that follow the published structure

A full mock is 100 questions split the way the RSA's Driving Instructor's Handbook sets out Stage 1: 20, 25, 15, 20 and 20 across the five sections. Each section is reported independently against its published practice threshold.

Study the way you actually revise

Start with a Diagnostic, then use Quick 10, section study, Unseen, and Smart Review for due, weak and recently missed questions, or steer revision with the Incorrect, Bookmarked and Recently added sets.

See what is costing you marks

Readiness shows section health, weak topics and mock history: what to revise next, not a predicted result.

Hear questions read aloud

Tap Listen on any question to hear it and its options read out, with the explanation once you have answered. Or turn on Read questions aloud in Settings. It uses your phone's built-in voice.

Beyond Stage 1

21 Stage 2 modules on the practical drive and 24 Stage 3 modules on instructional ability, from lesson structure and guided discovery to fault correction and feedback. Plus eight teaching scenarios and a lesson-plan workspace.

Private by default

No account, no analytics. Study history and lesson plans stay on your device.

Free and lifetime

Free includes sample questions from all five subject areas, the Diagnostic, Quick 10, section study, Unseen, study reminders, and the first Stage 2 and Stage 3 modules.

One lifetime purchase unlocks the complete question bank, Smart Review and the targeted sets, full 100-question mocks and all Stage 2 and Stage 3 material. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and can be restored on your Google account.

Where the government information comes from

Every source used in the app is published on one of these two websites:

• Road Safety Authority (the ADI qualification and its three stages, The Driving Instructor's Handbook, Rules of the Road, driving test marking, licence categories, tyres and towing): https://www.rsa.ie/
• Road traffic and vehicle regulations (Irish Statute Book): https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/

Important

ADI Prep Ireland is a study aid. It does not guarantee any result, does not observe, record or score real driving, and must never be used while driving. Always confirm current requirements, fees and procedures with the RSA before you book or sit any assessment.
