Transportation App Launcher

Trimble Transportation App Launcher is designed to replace the home screen of your in-cab display and be remotely configured through Trimble App Manager.

A Trimble App Manager administrator can remotely customize the driver's user experience, including setting the widgets that show on the display's home screen. This solution requires an account with Trimble Transportation for use with Trimble Driver.

Themes:
Customers can set custom wallpaper and configure widgets that show on the display's home screen via Trimble App Manager.

Remote View and Control:
When an issue arises with the Android device, a support person can initiate a remote session to view and control the device. This feature allows the support person to access applications, settings, and perform troubleshooting steps as if they were physically present with the device.

The app uses the accessibility service permission which allows the support person to perform actions such as tapping, swiping, scrolling, and updating values through key events on applications displayed on the device screen. This service facilitates remote text entry and other key events directly from the support person's keyboard to the controlled tablet. This service does not store or share any data during the connection and does not monitor actions outside the session. Without this service enabled, the support person can only view the device screen but cannot control it remotely.

Driver Safety Mode
App Launcher ensures driver safety by displaying a safe mode screen during vehicle motion and providing route maps for seamless navigation.

On Screen Notifications
App Launcher will show you which apps have active notifications without requiring you to open the respective application.
