Transit Atlas

Transit Atlas is a small private world clock styled like a subway diagram. Your home city is the TERMINUS at the top of a vertical line; every contact you add becomes another STATION on the line, sorted by hour offset and connected by a coloured route. Read the line at a glance and you know exactly where every city is in its day without doing hour math. The "+ NEW STATION" action lives at the BOTTOM-LEFT corner -- inspired by the "open" signs at the entrance of a real station.

THE LINE

A solid signal-orange line runs vertically down the screen, from your home terminus at the top all the way to the bottom navigation. Each station sits beside the line, joined to it by a short connector. The line colour shows you the route -- orange for stations ahead of home, teal for stations behind, ivory for the home terminus.

THE STATIONS

Each contact "station" is a rectangular card with:
- a bold STATION CODE (3-letter IATA) in serif tabular
- the city name in clean transit sans
- a big digital local time on the right
- a coloured route stripe down the LEFT edge (matches its offset direction)
- a "PLATFORM N" tag and delta in caps mono at the bottom

Pinned stations get an "EXPRESS" badge in the top-right corner.

THE HOME TERMINUS

A large round STATION BULLET sits at the top -- a filled circle inside a ring, with your home city beside it: name, IANA, local time. A subtle "TERMINUS" label sits over the bullet.

THE ROUTE TABS

Three tabs at the bottom, styled as METRO ROUTE pills with their own line colours: TRANSIT (current) / ATLAS (every station sorted by offset) / SETUP. The active route gets a filled bullet.

THE "OPEN" SIGN

The "+ NEW STATION" button is a circular badge at the BOTTOM-LEFT corner -- right where the entrance of a real station would be. Tap it and a compose sheet rises up: name, city picker, notes.

THE ATLAS TAB

Every unique city you track, rendered as STATION INDEX cards sorted by hour offset. Each row: city label, IANA id, day-shift hint, contacts in that city, delta chip, big local time. A + ADD STATION pill top-right opens the same searchable picker. Long-press a row to remove all contacts in that city.

THE EDITOR

Tap a station to open the editor. Name field, city picker (115+ IANA cities plus raw UTC offsets), free notes field. Save, pin, archive, or delete from a row of action buttons at the top.

SETUP

Pick your HOME terminus city. Add a custom display label. Toggle 24h vs 12h clock. Tune the working window to any whole hour 0-23 using +/- steppers or by typing.

PRIVACY

Transit Atlas keeps every station on your device. No sign-in, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ad SDK. The store is encrypted at rest with a key that lives in the Android Keystore. No network permissions are requested. If you uninstall the app, the data goes with it.
