This is an ambitious project. Device hardware and system build matter. The diagnostic mode really helps to dial it in. I think a lot of the settings could be hidden by an "expert mode" toggle. I think a general guide about using strobes would help some people. There is a learning curve, and a device calibration curve. After that, the amount of granular control and flexibility is unrivaled. I use the strobe tachometer to experiment with fantascope animation and stroboscopic effects.
