Micstream - PC Mic for Windows

Micstream lets you use your smartphone as a professional-grade microphone for your Windows PC. It replaces the need to buy expensive USB mics by turning your phone into a hardware mic using a specialized Windows driver. Compatible with Windows 10 and 11, Micstream connects over USB or Wi-Fi and supports high-quality, low-latency audio via the Opus codec.

Setup is simple: install the Windows client from micstream.io, select Micstream as your input device, then connect your phone app. Stream studio-quality 48kHz 32-bit audio seamless for podcasts, gaming, calls, or voiceovers. Additional features include stereo recording where supported, automatic client discovery, and plans for noise suppression. The free version includes ads, and a Pro upgrade removes ads entirely. Privacy is maintained with secure UDP protocols and forward error correction for packet loss.
