Amber Run

Amber Run - a three-lane runner where a tiger cub moves forward on its own along a stone bridge and the player only chooses the lane it runs in. Two buttons at the bottom of the screen, UP and DOWN, shift the tiger one lane higher or lower, and the change is quick enough to slip past an obstacle that is already close. Stones and hanging lanterns come in from the right side and travel toward the tiger; touching either one ends the run at once. Coins appear in the lanes that stay open, and every coin picked up adds to the coin counter and to the score, which also grows on its own while the tiger keeps running. The panel at the top of the game screen holds three counters: the current score, the current speed value and the number of coins gathered in this run. Speed climbs steadily from the first second, so groups of obstacles have to be read faster later in the run, while the spacing between groups widens along with it so that a free lane is always reachable in time. A pause button sits above the track and works at any moment: it freezes the tiger, the obstacles and the counters and offers a way back into the same run or out to the menu, where the current run ends and the next one starts from a clean state. When the tiger is hit, a summary panel shows the score of the finished run, the coins from it and the best result saved on the device, with buttons to start another run or return to the menu. The best result is kept between launches and is shown after every run. Settings, opened from the menu, hold a switch for vibration feedback and a way to clear the saved best result. The game is played in portrait orientation and runs without sound.
