Creatures appear ahead and may launch their own magic towards the dragon, so movement and timing matter. A successful magic hit adds 10 points to the score. Some creatures need more than one hit, creating a simple rhythm of flying, casting and moving away from danger. Bright flashes and particle bursts mark each spell impact.

Gold appears along the route and adds 5 points when the dragon reaches it. A rainbow gem adds 20 points.
