City history compactly and smartly packaged! Walk around Xanten and be surprised by 23 highlights over 1.3 km.

Xanten looks back on an extremely exciting 2000 years and is an attractive leisure and holiday destination. The newly designed spa park centrally connects sights such as the Archaeological Park, the Kriehild Mill or the so-called "Pest House" with leisure activities such as Kneipp baths, playgrounds and skateboarding facilities. A GPS signal shows you where audio contributions, interviews with city guides or digital images are waiting for you.

Accessibility

This app contains three different tours that take you to the same 23 highlights on the Kurpark circular route. In addition to the “audio tour in
German” (approx. 60 minutes), we offer you the following two additional tours:

1. If you would like to hear the app's audio contributions in simplified German, select the “Audio tour for simpler language” (approx. 45 minutes).

2. If you would like a description of the sights (audio description), select the tour “Audio tour for blind guests” (approx. 90 minutes).

If you are visiting the spa park unaccompanied and are orienting yourself with a blind cane, please use our precise route guidance, which will take you from highlight to highlight. With voice output, you can navigate in the app's list structure between articles on highlights and route guidance and design your tour.

A notice:

The stand-alone tour is designed in such a way that it begins at the tactile city model at parking lot 6 (Siegfriedstrasse) and takes you on the main path around Xanten's old town. If you wish, employees of the Xanten Tourist Information will take you to the starting point. Please contact us at least one working day before your visit:
