Tone Lab teaches the ideas behind guitar amp-simulation software — the kind used by AmpliTube and similar programs — through 22 in-depth lessons and a hands-on tone playground you can actually play with, not just read.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Beginner: what amp simulation is, how a virtual amp is built (preamp, tone stack, power amp), cabinet and microphone simulation, gain staging, and reading a signal chain
- Intermediate: effects chain order, modulation (chorus, flanger, phaser), delay and reverb, blending two amps, EQ strategy for a mix, genre tone-shaping, and impulse responses
- Advanced: gain staging across a full chain, room simulation, reamping workflow, MIDI control for live use, recording clean DI signals, and troubleshooting latency

Every lesson includes an interactive diagram, chart, or simulation built for that exact topic — drag a mic across a cabinet, reorder an effects chain and watch the description change, sweep an EQ curve, compare genre tone profiles on a radar chart, and more.

INTERACTIVE AMP SIMULATOR
A playable amp, cabinet, mic, and effects rig with real controls: gain, EQ, cabinet type, mic type, and four stompboxes (overdrive, chorus, delay, reverb). Press play, turn the knobs, and hear the tone change. Save your favorite settings as presets and load them anytime.

Mark lessons complete, follow your progress by level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced), and pick up right where you left off.
