Privis Alerts

Privis Alerts is the companion notification app for privis.app — a private, end-to-end-encryption-capable messenger that needs no phone number and no email.

privis.app runs in your browser and as a home-screen web app, but browsers can't always deliver push notifications reliably, especially once the tab is closed. Privis Alerts solves that: it delivers a fast, dependable notification the moment a new message arrives, so you never miss one.

WHAT IT DOES
• Notifies you instantly when a new message arrives on your paired privis.app account
• Shows only the sender's nickname and the time — nothing more
• Never shows message content in the notification
• One tap opens privis.app so you can read and reply securely

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Notifications are generic — the sender's name and your message content are never exposed to Google or any push provider
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising
• No phone number or email required
• Minimal permissions — notifications only
• Your pairing data stays in the EU (Frankfurt) and only while the device is linked

HOW TO GET STARTED
1. Open privis.app in your browser and log in, or create a free account
2. In privis.app, go to Settings → Enable mobile alerts to get your pairing code
3. Open the Settings tab in this app and enter the code to link your account
4. Done — you'll get a notification for every new message

You stay in control: unlink the device any time in Settings, or from privis.app → Linked devices.
