What’s SHOPPA? An easy and minimalist app for creating shopping lists or checklists.

Still writing grocery lists with a pen and paper? Why not keep your lists always with you on your phone? This way, you can share lists with your family and friends.

Currently, the app is closed for public registration. However, you can sign up and might be granted early access. If you know someone using the app, you can refer to them when you sign up.

Quick facts and features:

# Friends and sharing #

You can add other users to your friend list based on their username, but you can only share your lists with them if the friendship is mutual. This means they must add you too; you need to know each other to make contact. If you've added someone randomly, they will not receive any notification, so you cannot "make friends" through my app.

# Lists #

You'll find your own list and the lists shared with you on the main screen. Tap the info icon on the right side of your list, and you can:

Add a collaborator to your list (a person you want to share your list with). Remember, this is only possible if they have added you as their friend previously.
If you want to rename your list, edit the name and press enter.

# Items on your list #

• Tapping on the item will mark it as "done."
• No duplications: you cannot add the same list item twice.
• Swipe left to reveal the delete icon for an item.
• You can specify a quantity and extra info for a new item. A quick way to do so follows this syntax: tomatoes @2 #large - this results in adding a new item "tomatoes" with a quantity of 2, "large" in the extra info field.
• There are other properties of an item, some of which you can only edit after the item has been created, exclusively on the "edit item" screen. Tap on the tag icon on the right side.
• You can assign a color and an emoji icon to your list item.
• You can specify the color with a hex code, or use several conventional color names in English or Hungarian.
• Flexibility is power! Use these colors creatively. Making a travel list for your holiday house, or some kind of inventory? A certain color can represent an item you already have there.
• Items are ordered by date as default, with the "last modified" item first. This default behavior can be switched to alphabetical order by entering the "/a" command in the search bar. This will set the sorting method to alphabetical for all of your lists. To reverse this, enter /a again.
• If you are using an older phone and the app seems to be slow, you can switch to a performance mode with the command "/d". This option will render the app in a limited mode, where, for example, you cannot use the swipe gesture to delete an item; you can only do it on the edit item screen.

# Languages #

The app is currently bilingual, in English and Hungarian. You can change the language in the settings menu (gear icon).
