User Reviews

Users consistently say Card Counter is an effective, challenging trainer that improves counting speed and offers progressive difficulty and multiple practice modes. Major complaints repeated across reviews: missing realistic blackjack features (betting, true count, table play), several UI bugs/glitches and obstructive popups, limited customization, and a steep or uneven difficulty curve that can frustrate beginners.
Pros
  • Effective at improving card-counting skill with regular practice
  • Challenging training that overtrains speed—good for building quick running counts
  • Progressive difficulty levels (easy/medium/hard) that push improvement
  • Supports multiple counting systems/modes for varied practice
Cons
  • Lacks realistic blackjack play: no table gameplay, betting, true-count conversion, or shoe-size options
  • UI issues and bugs reported (app freezes, cannot submit guesses, tutorial/math errors, obstructive popups)
  • Limited customization (adjustable game speed, shoe sizes, ace-side/true count settings requested)
  • Not very beginner-friendly for some users—drills can jump from too easy to overwhelming and visual feedback can block learning
Recent reviews
Can get through medium easily. Getting through hard but the cards aren't counting properly.

Helpful but could use custom options like just playing at a full, real-life table with adjustable game speed and shoe sizes. As it is you just repeat drills that go from too easy to overwhelming very quickly. Wouldn't recommend buying.
