Review summary

Smooth.io is a fun and addictive offline snake game appreciated for its gameplay and features. However, multiple users criticize the overwhelming presence of ads, lack of real human opponents leading to bot matches, glitches in event tracking, and intrusive notifications. Advertising of questionable apps within Smooth.io also diminishes user trust. Overall, it offers a good play experience but is marred by monetization and engagement issues.

Pros

  • The game is fun and addictive, providing a good pastime.
  • Offline mode is appreciated, allowing play without internet.
  • Players enjoy the snake/worm game concept and find it engaging.
  • Game controls and maneuvering are generally liked, though some find maneuvering difficult.
  • The game offers a variety of in-game items and features like boosts and skins.

Cons

  • Too many ads, including ads before every game and inability to fully remove them.
  • Lack of real human opponents; many players report facing bots, making the game less fun.
  • Glitches and bugs, such as issues with event progress tracking (e.g., magnet usage for skins).
  • Advertisements for potentially scammy or fake apps within the game reduce trust.
  • Excessive and annoying notifications from the game that disturb the experience.

Boring. Uninstalled. No one is playing. Just a bunch of bots trying to defeat you, appearing out of nowhere. Not fun without human presence and participation. 1 star forced by stupid Google program. Can't leave 0 or no stars.
