Features & Capabilities

It ensures you can accurately share your location using your phone's GPS and the innovative what3words system, which divides the world into unique three-word addresses, perfect for areas with no data coverage. The app also guides users on when to call 000, providing options for non-emergency numbers like SES and Police Assistance Line, promoting appropriate use of emergency services. In critical situations, Emergency Plus helps you stay focused, relevant, and on the line, improving response times and potentially saving lives. Remember, calls to Triple Zero (000) are free, making Emergency Plus an essential tool for safety across Australia.

User Reviews

Users praise precise location data (GPS + What3Words), a CPR section, and quick access to emergency numbers, noting lifesaving potential. Repeated concerns focus on reliability after updates: wrong regions, delayed or missing location details, and broken 'more information' features. UI readability and regional number mismatches also surface. While fixes have improved geolocation, overall consistency remains variable, underscoring the need for thorough testing and clearer, more reliable UI before critical emergencies.
Pros
  • Provides GPS coordinates and What3Words to locate you within meters for emergency services.
  • Includes a CPR section for quick emergency guidance.
  • Quick access to emergency numbers and information, with improvements in the UI for finding numbers.
  • Easy access from the home screen for urgent use.
  • Anecdotal reports of lifesaving use in real emergencies.
Cons
  • Location accuracy and availability can degrade after updates, with maps sometimes showing the wrong region (e.g., Africa) or delays in displaying coordinates.
  • More information / contact numbers sometimes missing or not accessible (blank screen or red screen).
  • Readability issues due to color scheme (dark text on dark background) requiring higher contrast.
  • Update regressions causing non-functionality or unreliable geolocation, requiring fixes to be rolled out.
  • Region-specific emergency numbers may be incorrect depending on location (state/territory differences).

Just OK. I can't believe there is no option to copy address to clipboard??? There is no way to copy your address or Lat/Long or What3words!!! No way to simply text my location to someone if I can't copy my location to the clipboard. I'll go back to the original What3words app.

There should be a generic share button to share your location with your own contacts. Moreover, it would be good add family members or friends so that you can see location when authorised by them.
