For a company the size of Seven West Media, you should be seriously looking at who you employ to design your apps.

2024-03-06	Je*****	The app is ok. Journalism is pretty good. Best coverage of Perth and Western Australia. However I keep getting notifications about topics I'm not interested in (sport and crime) even though I have Sports notifications turned off. Have just turned off Breaking News notifications hoping that helps. There's no option to turn crime stories off even though the app clearly marks heaps of stories with that category. I don't think crimes are 'news' unless statistically significant per capita.

2023-10-31	De*****	1 Star is far too generous for this rubbish West Australian news app. The only thing that was perfect and didn't need to be touched was the digital version of the paper. They have completely destroyed it and they say they can't give a menu option to go straight to the back cover of the paper. Instead there are two Sport menu options and the second one takes you in the middle of the Sport section and you have to swipe about 5 pages across to find the Sport Cover. Absolute joke and out of touch.

You can't even preview the story in your notifications anymore. I can't get how WA's largest newspaper company can't get an app right in 2023. Unsubscribing.

2023-09-28	Je*****	Very unreliable app. Had so many issues trying to download the paper while travelling and would take around 10-15 minutes to download even with a strong signal or it just wouldn't download at all but other times the paper downloaded in seconds 🤷.

Downloading the digital edition of the paper in the app took 9 seconds, which seemed reasonable for a 60 page document (plus advert wrap and Today supp). I was downloading on a standard wifi connection so that may contribute to the speed. My phone is a Samsung S9 bought in 2019.

2023-01-17	je*****	This is an extremely frustrating app. When I click on a story in the news tab, it takes a very long time to load, and most times loads a completely different story to the one I've clicked on. Then once I've read the story, I click on the back arrow and it takes me to further reading rather than back to the home page. I then click on the back arrow again to try to get to the home page and it logs me out of the app. No other news app does this. Very frustrating 😤

2022-08-07	Mi*****	I have 7 news paper apps This is the worst by far. I have around 100 apps I use regularly. The West is the worst. And they charge for it. Disgraceful. I would cancel my subscription however in WA we are generally ignored by the substantial news providers so we have to put up with The West monopoly. It is slow and it is unreliable to log in. Dreadful app. If I could give it less than 1 star I would.
