The Rookie is a baseball life sim where you live one high school player's three years, one day at a time.


■ Days become a player
Every morning you pick what to do. Push through exhaustion and injuries and slumps are waiting; play it too safe and your teammates pass you by.
· 148 actions — training, school life, part-time work, rest
· Walking the line between growth and condition is the heart of the game
· Not an idle game. You choose every single day.


■ Pitcher or position player: two different careers
· Pitcher — build velocity, control, movement and stamina to hold the mound
· Position player — earn your spot with contact, power, speed and defense
Different stats, different moments on the field, different things scouts write down.


■ Games decided one at-bat at a time
Every plate appearance is simulated. The abilities you built go straight into the result, and results accumulate into your batting average and ERA.
· A great outing makes the papers. So does a bad one.
· Wins, losses, saves and holds are recorded by real baseball rules.


■ 32 schools, 5 national tournaments
The season opens with weekend league play, then runs through the Golden Lion, Blue Dragon, President's Cup, Phoenix and the National Sports Festival.
