Pixize Android

Pixize

Keep every memory. Free up your storage. On-device no cloud, no uploads.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Keep every memory. Free up to 80% of your photo storage.

Your phone is full of photos you can't bring yourself to delete — trip albums, screenshots of the kids, ten near-identical shots of the same sunset. Pixize keeps every single one and gives you most of your storage back.

Pixize re-encodes the photos you select into AVIF, a next-generation image format that preserves the visual detail of your originals in roughly 80% less space. A 5 GB album becomes about 1 GB. Nothing looks worse. Nothing gets thrown away.

Everything runs on your device.
Pixize has no server. Your photos are never uploaded, never seen by us, never sent anywhere. The compression engine runs locally on your phone using a high-performance native pipeline. Airplane mode? Still works.

What you can do
• Pick any photos from your library — one, a hundred, or the whole camera roll
• Watch live progress: photos processed, megabytes saved, time remaining
• Review the results before anything replaces your originals
• Save the optimized copies back to your library, or discard them
• Free space safely — Pixize only deletes an original after you confirm, through the system's standard photo API

Why AVIF?
AVIF is the format Netflix, Google, and modern browsers ship today. It's about half the size of HEIC and a fraction of the size of JPEG, with no visible loss for typical phone photos. Where AVIF isn't supported, Pixize falls back to a high-quality JPEG so your photos still open everywhere.

Designed to be trustworthy
• No accounts, no sign-up, no email required
• No analytics SDK tracking what you do in the app
• No cloud upload — ever
• Your originals are never touched until you explicitly choose to replace them

Permissions, in plain English
• Photos: so you can pick what to optimize, and (optionally) save the smaller copies back
• Notifications (optional): tells you when a long batch finishes
• Internet (free tier only): loads ads

Who it's for
• Anyone whose phone keeps saying "Storage almost full"
• Travelers who shoot thousands of photos per trip
• Parents who can't bring themselves to delete a single one
• Anyone who doesn't want to pay monthly for cloud storage just to keep photos they already own
