Start with a star and one planet. Grow your system planet by planet, watch life evolve from microorganisms to scientists, and build a fleet strong enough to survive whatever space throws at you.

Build Your System

Choose from five planet types, each with its own strengths and weaknesses:

Rocky World: cheap and reliable. Hosts life if placed in the temperate band.

Ocean World: life evolves fast here. Your quickest path to scientists.

Volcanic World: pumps out firestone but too hostile for life.

Glacier World: locked in ice, produces icestone. Nothing lives here.

Add gas giants, asteroid belts, and satellites to boost your economy of points, firestone, and icestone.

Grow Your Fleet

Once a planet has scientists, put them to work. Build cargo ships to move resources, colonizers (heat- and cold-resistant) to settle new worlds, fighters to clear threats, and reactivators to keep your fleet moving through electromagnetic storms.

Survive the Threats

Meteors, UFOs, evil planets, hostile fighters, battleships, and storms all stand between you and a fully colonized system. Evil planets grow their own infestations and raiders over time, leave them too long and they start striking back.

Campaign & Difficulty

Work through a hand-built campaign, from your first colony to taking down an entire evil empire. Choose your difficulty and an optional time limit, then chase a high score based on your speed, efficiency, and combat record.

Free to Play

Solar Colonizer is completely free. Optional rewarded video ads give you in-game bonuses and second chances, but you're never required to watch one to finish a level.
