User Reviews
Users appreciate The Intelligencer app for providing local news with a smooth, clean, and visually appealing interface. However, multiple users report issues like the app freezing during loading, difficult-to-read articles due to missing quotation marks, and dissatisfaction with the new paywall model. Many express a desire for a login feature to enable commenting on articles, which would enhance engagement. Overall, while the app delivers local news effectively, improvements in usability and features are needed.
Pros
- Allows users to keep up with hometown/local news
- Decent, fluid and smooth user interface
- New UI includes large photos that look great
- The app is speedy and clean
Cons
- App frequently gets stuck loading and does not open on some devices
- Lack of quotation marks in articles makes reading difficult
- Switching to a pay model has made the app useless for some users
- No login or comment feature to engage with articles
