User reviews

Users praise the app's integration with store inventory and features like aisle location and barcode scanning, which facilitate in-store shopping. However, multiple reviewers consistently report severe performance issues including slow loading times, app crashes, and poor search accuracy. Inventory shown is often incorrect, complicating purchases. The user interface is considered outdated and cumbersome, with problematic checkout and order management experiences. While the app has useful functions, these issues substantially diminish its usability and frustrate customers.
Pros
  • Integration with store inventory, allowing users to check local stock and item aisle locations, which saves time while shopping in-store.
  • Helpful features like barcode scanning and item locator to find products within stores.
  • Ability to link Pro accounts and track purchases, points, and perks.
  • Convenient for checking if items are in stock at nearby Home Depot stores.
Cons
  • App is consistently slow and laggy across different devices and internet connections, with delays up to 30 seconds per action.
  • Search functionality is poor, often showing irrelevant results or missing exact product matches.
  • Inventory data is frequently inaccurate; items shown as in stock may be unavailable and vice versa.
  • App crashes, freezes, or glitches regularly, causing frustration when placing orders or browsing.
  • User interface and design are outdated, unintuitive, and interruptive with persistent promo pop-ups.
  • Checkout and order pick-up options are buggy and hard to use.
  • Links for manufacturer resources (instruction manuals, installation guides) often do not open.
Recent reviews
The search function is terrible, most of the results aren't relevant. The app is very slow even on a brand new phone with full signal. When the app is opened to search HD insists on flashing the same promo riff-raff that needs to be closed every time. Occasionally items the app claims are in store aren't there which is discovered after a 40 min drive! The item locator and bar code scanner is helpful since finding an available associate in the store is often challenging.

Abysmal speed. The older version was great. Snappy and I could navigate, filter, etc. The current version is like being stuck in mud. Every action takes an eternity, 10-15 seconds or more. Try to apply a filter, it shows you the page, you think that the filter has been applied so you navigate and click. BIG MISTAKE those taps are queued up and now the app goes through multiple gyrations. A terrible step back in usability.
