User Reviews
Pros
- The app offers a beautiful and well-designed interface that users find enjoyable and motivating.
- It incorporates principles from Gretchen Rubin's work on happiness, habits, and the Four Tendencies, which appeals to fans of her books and podcast.
- The habit and goal tracking features, including a photo log and motivational tools like a spin wheel, are appreciated for helping users establish routines and stay accountable.
- The app provides a variety of content such as readings, tips, questions, audio clips, and happiness challenges that users find engaging.
- Periodic updates have improved usability and fixed some initial crashing or bugs, enhancing the overall experience over time.
Cons
- The app is expensive, with an $8 monthly subscription that many users find overpriced compared to free alternatives offering similar features.
- There are significant bugs and technical issues, including frequent crashes, freezing, unresponsive buttons, and problems during setup and account creation.
- The app allows only one free goal, pushing users to subscribe for more, which feels restrictive and disappointing to many.
- Lack of features like editing goals, adding entries for previous days, and better organization or customization options frustrate users.
- Some users experience regional limitations (e.g., no adaptation for southern hemisphere seasons) and issues with lack of intuitive navigation or excessive content cluttering the interface.
Recent reviews
Heads up you can only set one goal for free then it wants you to pay to add more. This feels pretty silly as there are dozens of apps out there that let you track multiple goals for free so what is the advantage of this one? It also has ads for its own merch on the home page and just all feels like a cash grab. Pretty disappointed as I loved the Happiness Project and thought this was going to be a really cool tool to use!
