Minun ÄÄNI

Minun ÄÄNI is a customizable Android text-to-speech communication app for children, families, and adults who need another way to speak.

Create large speech buttons for everyday words, phrases, names, needs, places, feelings, activities, and personal messages. Press a button to speak it aloud, combine buttons to build longer sentences, or type a custom message when the right button is not on the board yet.

Minun ÄÄNI can be used as a simple AAC-style communication app for non-speaking and minimally speaking users, autistic children, visual communicators, people with speech difficulties, multilingual families, and anyone who benefits from clear button-based speech support.

• Custom speech buttons
Create buttons with your own labels, icons, images, and spoken text. Add practical messages such as help, water, bathroom, yes, no, family names, school words, favorite activities, routines, choices, and feelings.

• Folders and communication boards
Organize buttons into folders and pages that match real daily life at home, school, therapy, work, or supported living.

• Sentence building
Line up selected buttons before speaking so the user can build longer messages instead of speaking one word at a time.

• Type and speak
Use the text field to type any message and have it spoken through the Android text-to-speech system.

• Visual communication support
Use clear buttons, pictures, icons, colors, and predictable layouts to make communication easier to find and repeat.

• Protected settings
Protect editing, deleting, menu access, and setup actions from accidental taps, while keeping the everyday communication view simple.

• Language support
The app menu supports English, Finnish, and German. Spoken button content can use the text-to-speech languages available on the Android device, including Finnish, German, English, and many others.

• Local-first data
Communication boards, button text, images, folders, typed messages, and settings are stored on the device by default.

• Optional Google Drive backup and sharing
A trusted user can enable Google Drive backup for restore, device transfer, sync, or read-only Shared View access. The developer does not operate a separate cloud service for private communication-board content.

Light and Pro:

Minun ÄÄNI Light includes all features with a limit of 50 buttons/pages. Minun ÄÄNI Pro removes the button and folder limits for ongoing use.
