성경은 역사다

Zoom in with your fingertips to see exactly where biblical events were located in actual history.

"The Bible is History" is an interactive timeline app that connects the entire Bible into a single timeline, spanning from Creation (approx. 4004 BC) to the era of Acts (AD 100).

With a single pinch zoom, you can naturally delve into specific eras, individual books, and even individual events, starting from the broad flow of the Old and New Testaments.

🔍 Features

• Semantic Zoom Timeline: As you zoom in with your finger, increasingly detailed information is revealed, progressing from Old/New Testament → Era → Book → Event.

• Side-by-Side with World History: World history from the same period—such as Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Persia, and Rome—is placed alongside biblical events, allowing you to read the Bible within its historical context.

• Dynasties: You can view the reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah at a glance in a band format. • Detail Popup: Tap an event to immediately view its description, related figures, and relevant Bible verses.

• YouVersion Integration: Tapping a Bible verse in the popup takes you directly to the YouVersion app (or the web if not installed) to read the text.

• Minimap: Use the minimap at the bottom of the screen to quickly identify your current location on the timeline and navigate quickly.

• Supports Korean and English, and Light/Dark modes.

📖 Dates and Notation Standards

Event dates are based on traditional (conservative) chronology. For events that are subject to academic debate, such as the Exodus date, alternative dates are also displayed in the popup to provide a balanced perspective. Korean names for people and places follow the New Translation (Korean Bible Society) standards. 🙋 Recommended for:
