Features & Capabilities

This App simply allows you to choose two different Wallpapers for your phone - one for the regular "Light" mode and one for Dark Mode. Then every time the System theme changes, so does your Wallpaper - just with certain Wallpapers in iOS13 or iOS14.

The App works by using a customizable a Live-Wallpaper. It also allows you to easily share your Wallpapers from other Apps (like the Gallery) with Darkinator.

Furthermore with you are using an older Android Phone which doesn't support the Dark System Theme in Android 10.0 - no problem. For Android 7,8 and 9 I have created a custom quick settings tile that allows you to enable Darkmode. It even works with certain 3rd party Apps. For Android 6 devices you have the option to Toggle Darkmode with a custom Notification.

Pros

Easy to use and minimal user interface.
Works well for switching wallpapers based on light/dark mode.
Does not have intrusive ads or video ads.
Handles landscape images smoothly without cropping issues.
Good performance compared to other similar apps.

Cons

Limited ability to customize wallpapers for lock screen and home screen separately.
Issues with wallpapers not changing or reverting back to previous settings.
App crashes or fails to function correctly on some devices, particularly after updates.
Problem with status bar color not matching the wallpaper theme.
Manual intervention required for some users to make it follow system theme changes.

Amazing and simple app, please add an option to purchase premium version ( one time purchase ) to remove ads, the day the option to remove ads is given at a reasonable price. I'll rate the app full 5 stars.

This is a great app. The user interface is minimal. However, I am not able to choose if I want to apply the theme for the lock screen or home screen. After applying it only shows the wallpaper I chose for night the whole day. It would be great if you can fix this issue
