Idle Datacore

Your firewall never stops firing. Neither does the network.

Idle Datacore is a minimalist idle shooter set inside a machine. A turret holds the
bottom of the screen, tracking and destroying the hostile data packets drifting
above it. Every kill scatters fragments that flow back into the turret and
become BITS — and BITS buy the upgrades that make the whole thing louder.

DRAG TO AIM, OR DON'T
The turret fires and tracks on its own. Drag anywhere on the field to point it
where you want it. Both work. Put the phone down and it keeps earning.

SIXTEEN UPGRADES, THREE BRANCHES
FIREWALL sharpens output: damage, fire rate, parallel threads, critical hits,
and eventually a second, third and fourth turret. DAEMON handles collection —
how far you reach, how fast fragments come home, how much of their value
survives the trip. ECONOMY widens the pipe: more packets on the field, arriving
faster, each one worth more.

Every upgrade tells you what it does and what it pairs with. Nothing is a trap.

DESCEND THROUGH THE LAYERS
Deeper layers throw tougher packets at you — armoured ones that soak damage,
swift ones that slip past, splitters that break in two when destroyed — and pay
proportionally more. A Gatekeeper surfaces periodically: slow, enormous, and
worth the fight.

RECOMPILE
When a run has given everything it can, recompile it. You lose the layers and
the upgrades; you keep CORES, permanently, and spend them in a matrix of
upgrades that carry into every future run. That is where the real progression
lives.

WHILE YOU'RE AWAY
The daemon keeps collecting while the app is closed, and reports what it banked
when you return.
