Sentinelr uses Android's Accessibility Service exclusively to enforce parental controls set by a parent or guardian.
Specifically, the Accessibility Service is used to:
(1) block access to restricted apps during locked, frozen, or screen-time-limited periods;
(2) enforce bedtime restrictions by preventing app usage outside permitted hours; and
(3) apply daily screen time limits configured by the parent. The Accessibility Service does not record audio, read personal messages, capture screen content, or collect or transmit any personal data. It operates solely on the child's device to apply parental control rules.
Parents and guardians can disable this service at any time through Android Accessibility Settings.
