Dama is played on an 8x8 board with 12 pieces per player:

Pawns move only diagonally forward
•
Capture is MANDATORY
•
When multiple choices exist, capturing the maximum quantity of pieces is required

If quantities are equal, capturing Damas over pawns is mandatory
•
A Dama (flying queen) can move multiple squares diagonally and capture from range

Victory is achieved by total elimination or tactical blockade of the opponent
