Hand a toddler your phone, and the first thing they'll do is tap something you didn't mean to open. Tappy Toons is built around that one fact: it locks the screen to itself, so nothing else on the phone is reachable while your child is holding it.

Once you start the app, screen pinning takes over. Your child can't open another app, can't delete or uninstall anything, can't stumble onto content you didn't choose. There's no browser, no internet access beyond loading the privacy policy page — so there's no way out to the wider web, accidentally or otherwise.

Inside that locked space, there's real learning. Colorful shapes float across the screen; your child taps one, and the app says its name out loud — color, number, or shape, depending on the mode. Each tap sets off a small burst of colored particles, so every correct guess feels like a tiny reward. It's simple enough for the youngest kids to pick up without instructions, and repetitive in the way that actually helps things stick.

For downtime, Tappy Toons doubles as a closed video player: point it at a folder of cartoons or music clips already on the device, and your child can browse and watch them screen-lock included. No streaming services, no autoplay recommendations, no ads — just the videos you chose, on a device your child can't use for anything else.
