tankoApp: Fuel Prices Stations

tankoApp is designed to create the most up-to-date fuel price database available. Gas stations are displayed both on an interactive map and as a list, making it easy to decide where to refuel today.

tankoApp also serves as your personal refueling log. By scanning receipts, you can effortlessly track your spending history. If you are planning a vacation, use our trip planner to save money and avoid worrying about where to top off your tank along the way. The app currently supports fuel prices in three countries: Poland, Germany, and Italy.

If you prefer a hands-off approach, take advantage of the automatic/highway mode. While driving, it detects a reasonably priced gas station ahead and guides you there via built-in navigation, so you don’t have to close your primary navigation app. To ensure safety while driving, enable the "shake to navigate" feature—simply shake your phone to instantly find the optimal station and launch the route without typing a thing while on the road.

Electric vehicle drivers are covered too! We offer Smart EV Charging in Poland—a comprehensive database of charging stations featuring price and connector occupancy updates every 5 minutes, automatic routing/stopover search, and a precise charging time calculator based on your specific car's technical specifications and charging curve.

Additional features:

- Filter results by distance, price, and price freshness.
- Refueling log – track refueling history, costs, and average fuel consumption with CSV data export and import options.
- Multi-currency support (PLN and EUR) with automatic NBP exchange rate conversion for border-area stations.
- Favorite stations – save your preferred stations and monitor their prices.
- Fuel quality – we display fuel quality inspection results conducted by UOKiK / the Trade Inspection (https://uokik.gov.pl/jakosc-paliw). These findings stem from specific inspections and dates, are strictly informational, and do not reflect current fuel quality at the station. The app is not affiliated with UOKiK or any other government agency.

Where do we get our data?
Fuel prices are aggregated from multiple sources:

- Poland (traditional fuels): Prices are crowdsourced by app users and supplemented by automated external sources, updating prices for nearly 5,000 gas stations (Petrol 95 and Diesel).
- Poland (EV chargers): Data is sourced from the official, public government EIPA database (https://udt.gov.pl).
- Germany: Prices are retrieved via the Tankerkoenig API (https://creativecommons.tankerkoenig.de/).
- Italy: Sourced from the official government open database of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (https://www.mimit.gov.it/).
