Tally

Tally is a quiet habit streak tracker drawn as a ledger. Every habit is a column in the book, and each day you keep it you strike one tally mark — four uprights and a diagonal slash make a gate of five. The streak is simply the run of marks down the column. Miss a day and the column doesn't tear; it just waits, ruled and ready, for the next mark.

THE COLUMN (home)
The home screen is today's page. A thin LEDGER-LINE summary at the top — a red margin tick, the date, and the day's count — sits where most apps put a big number card. Below it, each habit is a card: the name, its streak in plain words, the tally gates struck so far, and the last seven days, all on the left — with a tall VERTICAL mark button running down the right edge of the card. One tap strikes today's mark.

THE PAGE (per-habit detail)
Every habit has its own screen. A large tally column sits in its ruled frame, its marks the current streak, with the headline streak below and three figures beneath that — best streak ever, 30-day completion rate, and total marks struck. Then comes THE PAGE: a full month calendar where every struck day is inked in the column's color and today is ringed in gilt. Tap any past day to correct the page.

THE LEDGER (overview)
The ledger ranks all your columns by how long they run — the longest streaks first. Four figures sit above the ranking: your longest streak right now, your best ever, how many columns are still open, and the total marks you have struck across the whole book. A fourteen-day strip shows how steady the entries have been.

THE DESK (open new columns + settings)
The desk is where you rule new columns and tend the ones you have. Name a habit, choose an ink color — Sepia, Ink Blue, Gilt or Oxblood — set a weekly aim, and rule the column. Existing habits can be renamed, recolored, re-aimed, reordered, or torn out in place. The same screen holds your preferences: haptic feedback, the dark ledger-dusk palette, and whether the week starts on Monday.

Tally ships with four starter columns so the book is never blank, and you can clear them and rule your own at any time. Everything lives only on your device — there is no account, no cloud, no sync, no notifications, and nothing is ever sent anywhere. It does not gamify, nag, or guilt. It simply gives you a book to keep, and a streak that grows by being kept.
