عماد الدايمي

Engineer Imad Al-Daimi, born in 1970 in the city of Medenine in southern Tunisia, is a prominent figure in the political and social scene in Tunisia. He currently serves as the founding president of the Monitoring Observatory, an organization concerned with monitoring transparency and fighting corruption in the public sector.
During the 2014-2019 parliamentary session, Al-Daymi was a representative in the House of People’s Representatives for the Medenine district, where he assumed the responsibility of rapporteur of the Committee on Rights, Liberties and Foreign Relations, and was a member of the Security and Defense Committee from 2015 to 2019.
From December 2011 to April 2013, Imad al-Daimi assumed the position of Minister and Director of the Presidential Office, providing his services to the presidency during a crucial transitional period in Tunisia’s history.
Politically, Al-Daymi held several important positions in prominent Tunisian parties. He was Secretary-General of the Congress for the Republic between 2013 and 2016, then Vice-President of the Hirak Party from 2016 to 2017, and also served as Secretary-General of the party from 2017 to 2018.
In addition to his party activity, Al-Dayimi contributed to the establishment of the "Arab Council for Democratic Revolutions" organization and served for years as Secretary-General of the Council, thus confirming his commitment to the issues of democracy and freedom in the Arab region.
Daimi is also an active member of the International Forum of Representatives for Evaluation and the International Organization of Representatives Against Corruption, highlighting his active role in promoting integrity and transparency at the international level.
In recognition of his efforts in combating corruption, Al-Daimi received the “I Am Watchful” organization award for the best whistleblower for the year 2017, and the Tunisian state also awarded him the second class of the Order of the Republic, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to serving the nation.
