Tack Meridian

A COURSE DRAWN BY THE WIND
Tack Meridian is a compact sailing game viewed from above. A white dinghy with a coral sail crosses a pale turquoise chart, heading for a sequence of numbered buoys. There is no accelerator: the boat earns its speed from the angle between its course and the wind, together with the chosen sheet setting. Fifty routes offer different buoy positions and wind directions in a self-contained sailing area.

TURN, TRIM, TACK
Hold Port to rotate left or Starboard to rotate right. Release the control to maintain the current heading. Tap Sheet to cycle through tight, medium and loose trim. Different courses favor different settings, so watch the speed indicator after changing either the heading or the sheet. The model is deliberately approachable and simplified; it is a game about reading wind and planning turns rather than a professional sailing instrument.

FIND A WAY UPWIND
The wind display points toward the direction the wind comes from. Pointing too close to that direction stalls the sail. To reach a mark upwind, steer away from the wind and use a zigzag course instead of aiming directly at the buoy. With guidance enabled, a short line near the boat suggests a useful heading toward the next mark, including an upwind tack when needed. The guide does not steer for you or adjust the sheet automatically.

ROUND THE MARKS IN ORDER
Only the next numbered buoy advances the route. Future marks remain visible so you can plan a turn, while completed marks become small chart indicators. Reach every mark to finish and see your elapsed time. There is no time limit, opponent boat, collision combat or online ranking. Rescue returns you to the previous completed mark, or the starting area, and adds ten seconds to the session time. Use it to recover and try the approach again.

YOUR OWN PACE
All fifty routes are selectable from Play. Completed routes are marked locally, and a paused voyage can be continued with its position, heading, speed, trim and route progress intact. Restart begins the same route again. Starting a different route replaces the unfinished session. The game uses a wide landscape view, with steering controls below the sailing scene and a compact wind and route display above it.

Sound, haptics, decorative feedback and the heading guide can be adjusted in Settings. The interface and instructions are in English. Gameplay works offline without advertisements, purchases, accounts or requested permissions. Saves remain on the device and are removed when application data is cleared. Set your sheet, watch the wind and turn a difficult direct course into a patient series of useful tacks.
