Why the app asks for access to all files:

Sorting is what this app is for - you open a source folder, look at each file and copy or move it into a destination folder somewhere else on the device. That workflow has to reach the folders you choose, not only the app's own private storage, which is why the all-files permission is requested. Nothing leaves your device because of it: there is no account and no telemetry.

Free, open and private - the app source code is published under Apache License 2.0, and local, SMB, FTP and SFTP browsing plus the image, video, audio, PDF and EPUB viewers all work fully offline, without any account.
