Mitengo Tree Donation App

A tree donation mobile application that aims to reduce the carbon footprint in the atmosphere by purchasing seedlings from local growers and planting them all over Malawi.

Problem
1. Cutting down of trees for infrastructure purposes.
2. Large amount of land being cleared for agricultural purposes.
3. Rapid population growth across Malawi.
4. As forests disappear, mass erosion contributes to flooding.
5. No forest ownership by the local communities.

Solutions
1. Encouraging people to donate trees through the mobile app.
2. Plant quick-growing trees that can be coppiced for firewood

3. Plant trees like pine can be harvest for commercial use.
4. Encourage communities to plant and take care of trees.
