Dhulo is a quiet, private space for writing down whatever keeps circling in your mind. Give the note some time, choose how its words will slowly change, and let it disappear when you’re ready.
The name Dhulo means “dust” in Nepali. That’s the idea behind the app: thoughts can soften, scatter and eventually leave.
With Dhulo, you can:
• Write temporary notes in your own words
• Add a photo when words aren’t enough
• Choose exactly how long a note should remain
• Watch it decay using Ash, Drift, Redact or Scramble
• Put a note on hold and return when you’re ready
• Fast-forward the decay when you want to let go now
• Save unfinished writing as a local draft
• Search, filter and sort your notes
• Personalize your space with different colours and wallpapers
• Adjust sound, motion and gentle tap feedback
Dhulo isn’t a productivity system, a social network or an endless journal archive. There are no streaks to protect and no pressure to organize everything perfectly. It’s simply a small ritual: write it down, sit with it for a while, then let it go.
Your writing stays on your device. Dhulo has no account, ads, analytics or cloud note sync.
When a note reaches the end, its original writing can no longer be opened. Releasing it removes the note permanently, with no trash folder or undo button. That finality is intentional, so only release something when you’re ready.
