Scootkoers

ScootKoers is a free navigation app focusing on good routes for scooters with a yellow license plate. While standard navigation apps simply send you down a prohibited bike path or onto the highway, ScootKoers takes into account the rules that apply specifically to your vehicle.

WHY SCOOTKOERS

Standard navigation apps are made for cars or cyclists, not for mopeds. ScootKoers checks every route for prohibited bike paths, mandatory moped paths (sign G12a), and unauthorized roads, ensuring you are on your way smoothly and without surprises.

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH IT

• Tailored route checking: routes are checked against the rules for yellow-license-plate mopeds, with clear explanations as to why a road is or is not permitted
• Spoken navigation: clear, spoken directions while driving
• Switch vehicles: switch between scooter (yellow license plate), bicycle/blue license plate, or car with a single tap — each with a suitable route
• Tap on the map: don't know the exact address? Simply tap the location on the map to navigate there
• Automatic resume: if your ride is interrupted (screen lock, phone call), your navigation will continue automatically
• Riders improve the map together: route corrections from the community are only used after manual review — never automatically
• Live traffic information in the Randstad
• Unlock another character on the map for fun (turtle, otter, tractor, and more) by watching ads — completely optional, never mandatory

PRIVACY FIRST

No account needed. Your location is only used while navigating. Sharing (anonymous) ride data to improve the app is enabled by default but can be turned off with a single tap in the settings. Read the full privacy policy in the app.
