SurveyDXF

SurveyDXF is an Android field tool for land surveyors, site engineers, and setting-out technicians working with total stations and theodolites.

Prepare your survey drawing in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other CAD software, export it as DXF, and take it directly into the field.

Open your drawing → Set your station → Tap or snap to a target → Get bearing and distance → Stake out.

SurveyDXF combines graphical DXF stakeout with familiar COGO calculations and practical survey field tools.

### Graphical DXF Stakeout

Work directly from your DXF drawing instead of repeatedly entering coordinates.

### Graphical Line Stakeout

Long-press a DXF line to activate it, then enter chainage and offset to calculate NEZ, bearing and distance.

Use existing CAD geometry without manually entering line coordinates.

### COGO

Use familiar coordinate-based calculations when graphical stakeout is not required.

Inverse – Calculate bearing and distance between coordinates.

Forward – Calculate a new coordinate from bearing and distance.

Line – Enter line coordinates and calculate positions from chainage and offset.

### Station Setup & Resection

Set your occupied station by manual coordinate entry, drawing selection, saved points, or resection.

Set your backsight and orientation, then begin stakeout directly from the drawing.

Resection includes calculated station and accuracy information to help verify your setup.

### Solar Observation

Determine azimuth from observations of the Sun using a simplified field workflow.

SurveyDXF uses device location and attempts to obtain accurate time from GNSS when available. Record Face Left (FL) and Face Right (FR) observations, with multiple observations supported for residual checking.

Solar Observation is a new feature undergoing continued field testing, and user feedback is appreciated.

Built-in arithmetic and survey calculations for:

* Height difference (ΔH)
* Reduced Level (RL)
* Target levels
* Cut and Fill

### Electronic Level Book

Record Backsight (BS), Intermediate Sight (IS), and Foresight (FS). SurveyDXF calculates Reduced Levels (RL) and can generate PDF level-book reports.

### Points & Export

Save stakeout and field points, then export:
