Vantage Camera

Vantage Camera turns any Android phone into a wireless camera for the
Vantage Video Switcher. Point it, connect it to the same Wi-Fi as the
switcher, and it becomes another angle your operator can cut to — no
capture cards, no long cable runs, no subscription.


ALWAYS KNOW YOUR STATUS

Camera operators need one thing above all: to know whether they are
live. Vantage Camera shows a full-screen tally you can read from across
a room.

- ON AIR — red. You are being seen. Hold the shot.
- NEXT — amber. You are queued up. Line up your framing now.
- READY — green. Safe to move, reposition, or change your angle.

The tally updates the moment the operator takes or previews your feed,
so there is never a guess about what the congregation is watching.


SET UP IN SECONDS

Open the switcher on your computer and it displays a code and an
address. On the phone, either scan the code or type the address. That
is the entire setup. No accounts to create, no sign-in, no device
pairing to manage before a service starts.

If a phone drops off the network, it offers to reconnect to the last
switcher with a single tap — useful when a camera operator's screen
locks mid-service.


WORKS WITHOUT THE INTERNET

Vantage runs entirely on your local network. Video travels from the
phone to the switcher directly over Wi-Fi and never leaves the
building. That means it keeps working when the venue's internet is
down, congested, or simply not there — and nothing you record is
uploaded anywhere.

WHAT YOU NEED

This app is a camera for the Vantage Video Switcher and is not a
standalone recorder. To use it you will need:

- The Vantage Video Switcher running on a Windows computer
- The phone and the computer on the same Wi-Fi network

Any number of phones can join the same session, so a small team can run
several angles from devices they already own.


PERMISSIONS

- Camera — required, to send your video to the switcher
- Microphone — to send audio along with your video

Vantage does not collect personal data, does not show ads, and does not
require an account.
