STRAIGHT FROM THE SOURCE
Predictions are calculated from official LINZ data using the standard tide method, and the app quietly refreshes that data whenever you've got signal. So the numbers you're reading are the ones that should be there, not a stale copy from two years ago.

Data does not leave your device and no account is required. Analytics and advertising IDs are not recorded. The app will opportunistically contact sumnerd.co.nz to check for tide data updates from LINZ. That's the only network request it ever makes.
