The lift markets, closing prices.
Strength Index is a private workout log laid out like a financial-markets trading terminal. Every exercise is a TICKER SYMBOL with a current price (your best personal record) and a daily percent change. Every set is a TRADE recorded on the tape. Every personal record is a NEW HIGH. The interface is phosphor-green terminal-dark with green-up and red-down accents, a scrolling ticker tape across the top, candlestick charts, and a holdings table for today's open positions.
THE TRADING FLOOR - the home screen
The home screen opens with a STICKY TICKER TAPE across the very top: a black bar with a small "LIVE" pulsing dot on the left, then horizontally-scrollable ticker entries for every exercise in your universe - "BNCH 100kg +2.50% | SQT 105kg +0.95% | DDL 140kg +3.57% | OHP 50kg 0.00% | ROW 70kg -1.43%". Green for up days, red for down days, dim for flat sessions.
Below the tape, the header reads like a stock-market top-of-page: a small mono "WED 12 MAY ~ 16:42 ~ SESSION OPEN" status line, then the brand "Strength Index" in big serif (with "Index" in bright green), and the italic tagline "the lift markets, closing prices". To the TOP-RIGHT of the header, a thick green "BUY / open" pill button - the only place to start a new set. This replaces every previous FAB, bottom-bar, middle-banner, and corner-link pattern. The button explicitly looks and reads like a stock-trade BUY order.
The HERO is the MAIN INDEX VALUE CARD. A heavy black-ruled panel with "STRX ~ daily volume" header and a coloured "OPEN" or "CLOSED" status badge in the top-right, then the day's total volume rendered in HUGE monospace numerals (e.g. "12,450"), the unit on the next line, a green/red percent change vs the previous session ("+8.40%"), and a small "vs previous session" caption. Beneath that, a thin LINE/BAR CHART of the last fortnight's volume (the "session candles"). Then a stats row: trades, reps, streak, today's high — all in monospace, dim-mono labels in lowercase.
The HOLDINGS section follows as a real trading-table: a fixed dark column header (SYM / NAME / SETS / VOL), then each exercise with sets today is rendered as a HOLDING ROW with a colour-stripe accent, the ticker symbol in big mono, exercise name and muscle in small mono caps, a "NEW HI" green chip if a PR was hit, and the position size on the right. Tap the holding to drill in. Below each holding, a TRADE TAPE block lists each set as a printed line with TIME, #NN index, weight x reps amount, and "NEW HI" annotation for record-setting trades.
The WATCHLIST section lists every exercise NOT yet touched today: each as a single-row line item with the ticker symbol, name in lower-case, category and muscle, and the all-time high price on the right. Tap to open a position.
A FIXED BOTTOM BAR replaces the previous text-link nav: two TERMINAL FUNCTION KEYS - "[F1] HISTORY" and "[F2] UNIVERSE" - separated by a thin vertical rule, in green-on-dark mono. Pressing them navigates to the history screen and the catalogue, just like a Bloomberg keyboard shortcut.
THE EXECUTE MODAL
When you tap a watchlist row or the BUY button, a dark terminal-style modal pops up: "[ ENTER TRADE ]" header, the ticker symbol and lower-case name, the muscle, and two MONO INPUT FIELDS for "px (kg)" x "qty". A green status line beneath shows the estimated 1RM. The two action buttons read "[esc]" (cancel) and "[enter] EXECUTE" (submit).
THE HISTORY screen collects lifetime numbers (day-run, total trades, total reps, total tonnage) and a sorted PR ROLL by estimated 1RM, with last 8 trading sessions rendered as small cards.
THE UNIVERSE screen is the catalog - add a new instrument with name, category (push / pull / legs / core / cardio / other), primary muscle, accent colour, default unit, and notes. The catalog is grouped by category, with arrows to reorder and a small x to liquidate.
