Star Ascent

Star Ascent is a luminous, fast one-thumb arcade climber set in the deep silence of space.

A glowing star-climber clings to a floating asteroid at the base of a cosmic tower while a rising tide of consuming VOID -- an inky flood of dark energy crowned with a glowing violet event-horizon crest -- swallows the stars from below. Asteroids drift upward into the nebula. Press and HOLD the LEFT half of the screen to charge a leap up-and-left, HOLD the RIGHT half to charge up-and-right -- the longer you hold, the more power builds. Aim with the glowing dots, then release to leap. Read the arc, dose the power, and land squarely on the next asteroid. Land dead-centre for a PERFECT and bonus points; leap short or long and you fall past into the void below.

The catch: the void never stops rising. Linger too long and its dark energy reaches your feet, so every ascent is a race upward. Deeper orbits raise the void faster and drift trickier rock -- asteroids that glide side-to-side and dark ones that fracture a heartbeat after you land, forcing you to leap on before the ground breaks away. Glowing stars float above some asteroids; scoop them up on your way up for extra score. Ascend the asteroids each orbit demands to clear it, then chase a brighter best score on every one.
