Gunward: Five Rows Ahead

EVERY NUMBER IS A DEADLINE
Your rig fires the whole time, at the wall in front of it in its lane. Each wall shows the seconds of your fire it needs. Each row shows the seconds until it reaches you. The wall in front opens only if its number runs out before its row's clock does. If it is still standing when its row arrives, the run ends, unless a Shield takes the hit.

READ FIVE ROWS AHEAD
Five rows are always in view, and your rig crosses about two lanes a second, so the lane you need three rows from now is the one you start toward now. The wall you are steering for tells you before you get there: CLEAN, with the seconds to spare, or SHORT, by how much.

PAY THE TOLL, OR ROUTE AROUND IT
Amber gates raise your damage, but they cost fire to open, and that fire comes out of the same few seconds. Armored walls need a Missile or a much stronger rig, so read them early and steer around.

THE WARDENS
About twenty seconds into Endless, the first Warden blocks the road: take the gate beside it for +2, or line up early and break the Warden for +4. Later Wardens come as classic, twin, guarded and Juggernaut fortresses. Spend a Missile, trigger a Breach, or save your Shield for the wall you cannot finish.

SIX STRETCHES OF ROAD
Drive from the blue Outskirts through Foundry District, Reactor Yard, Storm Belt and Frost Line to the Deep Road. Reduce Motion, sound and haptic settings let you choose the feel, and wall numbers can show hit points instead of seconds.

THE FREE RANKED DAILY
One attempt. The same track, base rig and no items for everyone. Your run is replayed by the server before it ranks. The top three earn scrap after the day closes. Daily boards reset at 00:00 UTC.

Share your StackForge friend code and compare Daily results. Ranked Daily distances also add to the weekly Bronze, Silver and Gold league. Play three Dailies to qualify for a weekly reward.

BUILD WHILE YOU ARE AWAY
The Foundry makes scrap while you are away, with up to 48 hours counted. Spend earned scrap on permanent Workshop upgrades and Armory items. Daily and weekly missions give you more to chase. Earn rig finishes and preview them in the Garage.
