Users can create a profile with their name, branch, and rank and receive structured guidance designed to support inspection of readiness and professional development. The app offers step-by-step visual guidance for proper uniform wear, including badge and medal placement, and allows users to upload photos of their uniform—worn or laid out—to receive alignment and presentation feedback. Users can also upload a photo to receive general hairstyle and grooming guidance based on publicly available military standards, along with improvement tips. Height and weight tools help users estimate body composition, track progress, and better understand standard requirements to support healthy fitness goals. Squared Away AI also includes a Professional Boards Interview practice feature that simulates common board questions and provides coaching on posture, confidence, and responses. For motivation and engagement, Drill Sergeant Mode delivers virtual commands and encouragement in a fun, training-focused format.
