QR Scanner is a fast, modern reader for QR codes. Point your camera at a code to decode it instantly, review a clear summary of what it contains, copy it, or open links in your browser. Optional scan history keeps recent results on your device so you can come back to them without scanning again.

Scan the way you want
Use the live camera with a simple full‑screen view and scanning frame. Turn the flashlight on in low light, or switch to the front camera when that is more convenient. Prefer a code in a photo? Pick an image from your gallery and the app will try to find a QR code inside it (on supported devices).

Understands common QR payloads
QR codes carry more than plain text. QR Scanner recognizes several practical formats and presents them in a structured way:

Links — See the host and whether the link uses HTTPS, then open it in your default browser when you choose.
Wi‑Fi — View network name (SSID), security type, and password when present; copy the SSID or password; optional visibility toggle for the password field.
Contacts (vCard) — Shows fields such as name, phone, email, and organization when encoded in the QR.
Events (calendar / iCal) — Surfaces title, location, start/end hints, and description when available.
Plain text — Any other content is shown as readable, selectable text.
Copy and continue
Every result includes Copy so you can paste the raw content anywhere. For URLs, Open launches the link externally when possible.

History when you need it
Enable Save history in Settings to keep the last 20 scans on this device. Browse the list, pull to refresh, swipe an item away to delete it, or clear everything at once. You can turn saving off if you prefer not to keep a log.

Designed for everyday use
Clean layout, readable typography, and support for light and dark environments (including splash styling). A simple drawer gives you History and Settings without cluttering the scan screen.

Privacy-minded by design
Scan history is stored locally on your phone when you opt in; there is no account requirement described in the app flow for basic scanning and history.
