User Reviews

Reviewers praise Sony Pictures Core for excellent video and audio quality and a smooth interface when it runs, but reliability is a major issue. The most cited problems are app loading crashes, login/registration difficulties, and VPN/ISP/connectivity blocks. Users also want more included content and timely updates, and report weak or unresponsive support. Overall, high potential with Sony hardware but significant stability and onboarding problems.

Pros

Excellent picture quality with IMAX Enhanced clarity and Dolby Atmos sound when the app works
Smooth playback and a clean, user-friendly interface on compatible Sony devices
Solid catalog options: 100 included movies for six months plus rentals/buys; cinema-like home viewing

Cons

Frequent loading issues and crashes; app won't load or gets stuck on launch across multiple devices
Account creation/registration and login problems; continuous errors
Connectivity blocks related to VPN/ISP configurations preventing sign-in
Content availability concerns: limited included content and requests for rotating/adding more titles
Poor or unavailable customer support and update issues after December update
